BODY CAP The body cap is the aluminum end piece of a Fox shock. It contains the bushings and sleeve to mount the shock as well as the Fox Air Valve or hose fitting for the reservoir. Check which type of thread is on the body (see body section for thread types). A body cap with pre-load is machined to accept an aluminum adjuster sleeve that slides over the shock body.
